OAKOKHO (অআকখ) is a non-profit initiative.
The idea of OAKOKHO started in year 2014 in Michigan, USA with the vision to spread Assamese language, culture, and heritage around the world. The main purpose of our organization, operating under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is to provide educational services and programs to teach Assamese language, Assamese culture and Assamese heritage to children and adults. We are committed to promoting linguistic and cultural excellence, fostering lifelong learning, advancing knowledge in Assamese language, Assamese culture, and Assamese heritage. To make organizational vision into reality every member of OAKOKHO is dedicatedly working on developing and publishing educational materials and resources including, but not limited to books, audio, video, apps, software, helping children and adults to learn about Assam, its language, history, people, and culture, all with the aim of furthering educational opportunities and enrichment.
