OAKOKHO has proudly sponsored Swabalamban – A project conducted by ADBU to give training to local educated unemployed youth on electrical house wiring, inverter making and installation so that they will be able to earn a livelihood.
Assam Don Bosco University is a state private, non-profit, co-educational, Catholic research university located in Assam, India. The university was founded on March 29, 2008, by the Salesians of Don Bosco and executed by the Don Bosco Society, Azara, Guwahati.
OAKOKHO has supported TeachAIDS team to create Assamese Captions for their TeachAIDS educational videos in year 2015.
Spun out of Stanford University in 2009, and recognized as an innovation that would “change the world” by MIT Technology Review, TeachAIDS is a 501(c)3 social venture that creates breakthrough software to solve persistent problems in HIV prevention around the world. Used in more than 70 countries, TeachAIDS provides the most effective HIV education for free under a Creative Commons License.
In collaboration with publishing company The Reads Factory (Assam), six bilingual children books has been published in 2022.
OAKOKHO received Certificate of Appreciation for its contribution from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2016.
